(Beijing, September 16) Following are comments from Xiu Xiu (CHN) and Liu Zhou (CHN) who ranked 19th and 35th respectively in the women's competition of the 2007 Modern Pentathlon World Cup Final.

Xiu Xiu (CHN)

On her overall performance:
"I was not in a very good competition condition, especially during the shooting event. Actually, shooting is one of my strengths. But I didn't do it well today. So I am not satisfied with today's performance."

On modern pentathlon:
"The five disciplines of modern pentathlon are all very important. If you want to have a very good result, you have to do your best in each part."

On the competition venues:
"I think the new venues are excellent in design. I also think the organizers have done a very good preparatory job. So I think I should adjust myself to the new venues as quickly as possible."

On the spectators:
"I am deeply impressed by the spectators. I believe it is advantageous for Chinese athletes to compete on home soil. During the swimming event, I was really encouraged by our spectators. So thanks so much."

On the weakness:
"Running is my weakness. I have to do more training on that."

On her rivals:
"I think I myself am my biggest rival."

Liu Zhou (CHN)

On her performance in riding:
"I was unlucky today with the draw. The horse was really difficult to control."
