Beijing, September 16 - After a massive day of competition, Egypt's Aya Medany has taken out the title of World Cup champion in the "Good Luck Beijing" Olympic test event. With less than a year to go until the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games Medany put on a fantastic display, across all five disciplines, and she was rewarded with a qualification position for next year's Olympics. She finished the day with 5536 points, just eight points ahead of second-placed Elen Rublevska(LAT). Pictures show athletes in running
